During the winter, the problem of maintaining a comfortable temperature in spacious areas, (such as in industrial environments, warehouses etc.), where there are large doors or entrance doors that are frequently opened , often for a long time, becomes extremely difficult.
This situation causes, besides the discomfort for those working under these conditions, a considerable energy loss with the consequent increase in heating costs.

The figure a longside is a graph indicating the temperature changes in a room 30 mt long and 20 mt wide, with an open door 3 mt wide. Considering an outside temperature of 0°C and an indoor temperature of 18°C the graph shows how far the area of the room extends that has a temperature that is far too low. Obviously this example refers to a situation free of wind currents or draughts. If either of these were present, the low temperature zone would extend much further.

Due to its higher density, the cold outside air (blue in the figure) enters into the lower area of the room, whereas the internal warm air (red), as it is lighter, moves upwards into the open.

The ideal solution to solve this problem would be the installation of air curtains (VAC) Savio S.r.l.

Basically these are technical apparatus applied to the outdoor openings of the rooms, that prevent or reduce the entry of cold air in the winter. I

The air curtains are obtained by drawing the warmer air in the upper areas of the room with specifically designed fans and delivering it, so as to create a vertical screen over the entire width of the outside door.

The condition of the moving air, created mechanically, separates the cold outside air from the warm inside air. There are three differently constructed versions:
